On March 22, 2025, the Majlis Perasmian Pusat Sebaran Maklumat Nasional (NADI) Bandar Senai took place, marking an important milestone in the government’s efforts to enhance digital accessibility and literacy in Malaysia. The event, officiated by YB Teo Nie Ching, the Deputy Minister of Communications, was a significant occasion attended by notable figures such as YB Wong Bor Yang and YB Arthur Chiong, alongside officials from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in Johor.

This new NADI centre in Bandar Senai is part of the broader 1 DUN 1 NADI initiative, aiming to provide advanced technological tools and digital services to local communities. The facility is equipped with at least 20 laptop units and high-speed internet, making it an essential resource for residents to improve their digital literacy. Through its various programs, such as e-Kelas and e-Usahawan, the centre supports community members in enhancing their digital skills and boosting their household incomes.

In addition, this centre is a part of the government’s broader goal to open 101 NADI centres across Johor. The opening of the Bandar Senai centre is a major step toward achieving this objective. Moreover, two more centres are expected to open in Sri Gading and Larkin in late March 2025. This initiative continues to play a key role in bridging the digital divide, offering locals the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in today’s digital world.
