The Perdana Leadership Foundation recently hosted a grand dinner celebration titled “TunDrMahathir@100: The Centennial Celebration. Honouring a Life of Vision, Leadership, and Impact.” The event gathered nearly 200 distinguished guests. It marked the 100th birthday of Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, Honorary President of the Foundation and Malaysia’s longest-serving Prime Minister.
From the very beginning, the evening reflected elegance and warmth. Music filled the venue as the Universiti Malaya Symphony Orchestra performed under Professor Dr. Nasir Hashim. At the same time, violinist Dr. Yi Li Chang welcomed the arrival of Tun Dr. Mahathir and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Hj Mohd Ali. Moreover, speeches, tributes, and performances highlighted the immense impact of Tun Dr. Mahathir’s leadership.
In addition, guests engaged with interactive features such as a photo booth and a guest book for personal messages. Video presentations honored both Tun Dr. Mahathir and Tun Dr. Hasmah. Furthermore, Tun Dr. Hasmah performed on the violin. Later, Datuk Nora Ariffin delivered a heartfelt musical showcase that captivated the audience.
Meanwhile, the Foundation’s Chairman, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, delivered an inspiring address. He emphasized Tun Dr. Mahathir’s courage, vision, and bold decision-making. Consequently, the night concluded with the symbolic cutting of a Centennial Pulut Kuning and cake. The unveiling of a specially commissioned artwork by Datuk Lat added a meaningful finale.
In conclusion, the celebration honored not only a century of life but also a legacy of leadership, resilience, and national pride. Guests departed with admiration, gratitude, and renewed inspiration for Malaysia’s future.
Epic AV Sdn Bhd was beyond grateful to be given the opportunity to set up the P2 Indoor LED Screen, which has a screen size of 4.5 meters (W) x 2.5 meters (H) for Perdana Leadership Foundation at Putrajaya.
